This table-top mixer runs on a 300-watt motor. It comes with a polarized plug that helps reduce risks of electric shocks. So, before buying it, be sure you have an outlet for it. Using an adapter is not advisable as it would negate the plug’s safety function.
To attach or remove the bowl and other accessories such as the hook, beater or whip, simply raise the mixer’s head by pushing and holding the button then releasing it once you’ve lifted the head. Just press and hold the same button if you need to lower it. Raise the head up if you need to mix by hand or add other ingredients into the mix.
The Hamilton Beach 63325 doesn’t double as a hand mixer. It comes with six-speed settings plus a special fold setting, which is not available in most big mixers. This fold function plus the pulsing motion allows more air into the mix. When mixing, start with the lowest speed setting and keep it low until all the ingredients are well-mixed. Using lower speed for liquid mixtures can also keep splatters off your counter, so you don’t make too much mess when mixing. You may raise the speed once the mixture becomes thicker in texture. Moderate speed setting is ideal for mixing thin batters.
